Meta/Facebook Lead Ads Error - September 12, 2024

Update on September 12th, 6:00pm EST:

We want to inform you about an ongoing issue with Meta (Facebook) Lead Ads that is currently affecting Dealers United's Social Advertising customers. Facebook is experiencing platform-wide problems that are impacting the retrieval of lead information.

Our team has observed that attempts to access lead data are resulting in the following error: "Error while retrieving data from Facebook Lead Ads: Unsupported get request. Object with ID 'XXXXXX' does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions"

This is a widespread issue affecting all users of the Facebook Graph API, including Dealers United. Our current analysis shows that approximately 70% of lead retrieval attempts are failing.

Facebook (Meta) has acknowledged this problem in their developer community. While this issue originates from Facebook's end and is beyond our direct control, we want to assure you that our technical team is actively collaborating with Meta to resolve this as swiftly as possible. We're also exploring ways to minimize the impact on our services.
